Research Complex I

Presently, the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center is anticipating that Research Complex I will be ready for occupancy in June 2004. When completed,Research Complex I will house state-of-the-art University of Colorado cancer and basic science research labs. Located in the Fitzsimons research corridor, northwest of Building 500, Research Complex I consists of two connected buildings.

The research towers pictured above will house cancer and basic science research labs.

The biggest influx of new workers this year will occupy Research Complex I. Some 1,600 researchers will fill this 12-story cancer research tower and a nine-story biomedical research tower in the 600,000 square-foot 241 laboratory complex. "It will, in essence, position Fitzsimons as one of the top academic health and biotech centers in the country." said Boris Tabakoff, Ph.D., Chair of Pharmacology at UCHSC.
